This DVD is warmly recommended for complete beginners. Suspira explains all the basic movements in baby steps, but manages not to talk down to you.
A great primer for beginning students. However, it's more than that - beyond beginners/intermediate students will find it a useful "reference book" and refresher on the essentials.

I agree! I have dozens of bellydance dvds, and this is my absolute favorite. Strongly recommend.
I agree! I absolute favorite as well! I emailed Suspira personally to thank her, and it turns out she is really as nice as in the dvd! I strongly recommend the program, and really like the intermediate dvd as well.
